About : Future Cities Project (2012-2015)
According to the United Nations, 70% of the world's population is expected to live in cities by 2050. This global trend is leading to the deterioration of the cities' public facilities and the citizens' quality of life, imposing unparallel set of challenges.
The genesis of the CCFC was the FP7 funded project Future Cities that intended to reverse this negative trend. It aimed at unlocking the full potential of interdisciplinary research in urban sciences & technologies, as well as strengthening knowledge transfer activities in close cooperation with local and global industrial partners.
